Authorised Treatment Facility

Our site is an Authorised Treatment Facility, which means we have all the required licences and permits for processing End of Life Vehicles. This ensures that your vehicle will be disposed of to government standards.

Being an Authorised Treatment Facility means that we de-pollute all scrapped vehicles. We remove any hazardous liquids or materials before the vehicle goes to a separate area for further processing.

Certificate of Destruction

Under the End-of-Life Vehicles Regulations 2003 and the End-of-Life Vehicles (Storage and Treatment) (Scotland) Regulations 2003. Passenger-carrying vehicles and light-goods vehicles weighing up to 3500kg, can only be scrapped at an Authorised Treatment Facility (ATF).

At A.M. Jones Scrap Metal Ltd we are a fully licenced ATF and this means we can provide you with a Certificate of Destruction (CoD). Our system is linked directly to the DVLA, so once a CoD has been issued, it immediately informs the DVLA that you are no longer responsible for the vehicle.

The vehicle will then be de-polluted and scrapped to government standards.
